Qdel work together with trusted partners that has many years experience in high-performance glazing that combines very complex functional needs, in aesthetic solutions with great visual impact. Theproducts are used in numerous fields: safety glass, noise, thermal and sound insulation, but also glass to walk on, doors, railings, elevators and entire facades.

Safety glass is laminated with several panes held together by interlayers of PVB. Safety glass is classified according to the level of protection it offers. Anti-vandal and burglary glass protects against manual attacks and can withstand violent and repeated shocks: if broken the PVB keeps fragments together.
Bulletproof glass protects against firearms and is classified according to the number, thickness and assembly sequence of the glass plates and PVB binder sheets: these structures make them resistant to different types of projectile.

These panes are made with plates joined by PVB soundproofing and are classified according to the level of sound insulation, described by reduction ratios tested in the laboratory. These can be used for windows and barriers to reduce noise pollution from road and rail traffic, industrial, recreational or entertainment noise. They produce better acoustics in the room and improve the well-being of people who live there. The high quality and variety of materials can create solutions that combine function with aesthetics, while minimising impact on the surroundings.

Glass structural facades can be used to clad buildings, ensuring waterproofing and protection of structural load. Advanced technology allows continuous surfaces with hidden/integrated doors and windows, offering clean and homogeneous aesthetic solutions. The facades can be made with any type of glass to meet different requirements for safety, thermal and acoustic insulation.

Anti-vandal and anti-crime windows can be used to fence the playing area in sports facilities, providing protection against intrusion and vandalism. They can withstand manual attacks and blows with blunt objects. The thickness and number of sheets varies depending on the level of security required. If broken, the PVB interlayers keep the panes intact so they continue to act as a barrier, protecting property and people.

With two or more panes of glass joined together by plastic PVB film, these can be used as a walkable surface if supported on four sides. They have very similar characteristics to reinforced glass and, if broken, the PVB interlayer keeps the sheets together retaining the fragments. The maximum permissible load for each plate is calculated with the Timoshenko formula, ensuring reliability and suitability for high safety standards. Today there is a new type of completely transparent floor glass (New Grip), made non-slip with screenprinting.

Fire protection glass is classified according to sealing and insulation requirements. The first is related to the ability to withstand fire and hot gas, preventing flames from spreading on the unexposed side; the second is related to thermal insulation. This glass is made by alternating layers of glass and steel or aluminum edges which ensure strength and transparency at the same time.
Fireproof windows limit fire damage, giving you longer to evacuate and preventing the total or partial collapse of the structure.

The glass used for the parapets is made of two toughened panes, fixed together with plastic PVB films, which have holes for installation. The type of glass will depend on the load that the parapet has to support and how it will be placed, to ensure maximum suitability to safety standards. The parapets can have clear or coloured PVB, so they meet different aesthetic and design needs.

Glass roofs combine aesthetics and lighting. The glass is laminated, combining different types of glass to best meet the project needs, including thermal and acoustic insulation, transparency and shock resistance. The PVB interlayers between the panes also maintain cohesion with any breakage, for maximum protection of people and the area.

Glass doors can be made with or without a frame, as casement, sliding or retractable. Combining different types of glass satisfies both functional and design requirements, ensuring the strength of materials, thermal and acoustic insulation,as well as transparency and the control of reflections and light. In addition, panels can be enamelled and screen printed in colour and decorated with any pattern.

The use of glass has revolutionized the concept of lifts. Combining different materials and shapes, transparencies and light illusions, they become a real design element. The glass in elevators includes two sheets of tempered glass joined together by plastic PVB films. Different types of glass meet different requirements for safety and thermal insulation.

The increased use of glass in construction has led to products that ensure better control of sunlight and luminosity. With a pyrolytic or magnetron coating you can control the level of reflection and light transmission improving illumination of the area and efficiency in summer and winter.

Thermal insulation glass manages the problem of heat transmission through conduction and radiation. This balances the internal and external temperature. The use of double glazing means high standards of energy efficiency, suitable for any climate.
